These mixed media encaustic artworks have just that cracking open energy that I’m talking about.It’s been so intriguing to explore more with the chaos of melting wax. I am especially interested in the micro detail of the pin punch pieces I used in the first layer.

Well over a year ago...a beautiful couple commissioned me to create a large artwork for their home...it was as if I "fished my wish" when they said they just wanted it to be whatever came up out of the art making process 100% freedom of expression! ⁠

I especially like the myth of Eve because she’s got a dark reputation. In my mind she is bold and thirsty for knowledge & change. She reminds me nothing grows or evolves without imperfections.
