A gathering of Dark Illumination Drawings.
I’ve used the magic of Photoshop & Lightroom to blend these dark Illumination drawings into digital atmospheres.
To me they are sort of strange bits of visual poetry. Some way of meshing the imagination into an actual moment.
I’m hoping they are more than the sum of their parts…if you know what I mean?
Edge of Night
Theses source photos where taken last April…
It was one of those early spring mornings where each step felt like the mud would suck my boots right off and down into the earth. As I walked along the edges of the newly planted wheat field, I came across the scattered bones of a fawn…who surely had suffered for the survival of some starving creatures. I watched the sun come up that morning with death on one side and new life on the other.
These are the moments when the universe reaches out from the darkness to wake me up.
