Last year…working on secret stuff!
If you follow along on instagram you already know that I just finished a large commission.
It’s such a thrill to have a piece go from the studio to an art collectors home…so I thought I would share it here on the blog.

Once upon a time...
Well over a year ago...a beautiful couple commissioned me to create a large artwork for their home...it was as if I "fished my wish" when they said they just wanted it to be whatever came up out of the art making process 100% freedom of expression!
Honestly...I've always shied away from doing commissions because it's rare for people to really understand that the art I make & want to make comes from a mysterious & intuitive place...I paint what I cannot see any other way...
as much as I might like...I can't order it up like take out;)
Because of the way I work I made two pieces...so the energy had some space to "bounce" between...if that makes sense?!!! And the collectors could chose which one called to them.
It was total magic to work so large and go from ethereal atmospheric brush strokes to micro intense detail... Such an extraordinary experience!!! Making both pieces felt like having a great big windows open to another world.
So grateful “Destiny” went home with TRUE ART LOVERS♥️ who ventured out in a snowstorm to take it home and hang in their beautiful home!

ps…If you have a space in mind and are open to the idea of the unknown & letting what comes up out of the intuitive art process…I’m interestested in doing more commissions for large pieces…especially something tall & narrow or long & narrow
At the moment, I’m working on another commission but I’ll be ready to start something new later this spring!
