“Eden Daughter: Current of the East”, 12” x 48”, oil on canvas, bronze tone frame

The series is named after The Eden Myth, as the place of the original pure creative energy. I like to imagine this energy is still flowing out in ALL directions…East, West, South , North ect.

Using "Current" in the naming of the paintings is a bit of wordplay for me…as I envision this energy both as flowing out like an "electric current" and as a “river current” still flowing from our primordial past.

AND...as being “current” as happening in the "present moment!"

The word “daughter” is often used in science , as in “daughter cells.” Also, used in physics having something to do with radioactive decay…that I honestly don’t understand!

I really like the idea of feminine being weaved into the language of science. There is a kind of poetic beauty to “daughters of eden” whispering from a garden of creation!
