Flickering like Fireflies

Detail of painting with swirling paint

Detail of  The Mask Maker…

“A thousand ideas danced between her eyes

like fireflies on a hot summer night.

Flickering fast and then gone.”

Painting of a Strange and magical woman

I feel like I’ve been working on “The Mask Maker” for so long.

She started out as an abstract and then one day I saw a face in all the colors. She has been through so many changes but I think she is almost done. Check out what she was like back in March here
She has a thickish glaze that I think needs awhile to fully dry. I’m thinking of possibly having her made into prints because I feel like something about her belongs to more than one woman. Let me know if you would be interested.
